Mastering the Art of Guest Communication

One of the most rewarding parts of our job is connecting with guests, but it’s not always easy. I’ve been looking for tips on how to improve my communication skills, especially during busy check-in times. Does anyone have favorite techniques or tools they use to ensure guests feel heard and valued?

I totally get that struggle during busy check-ins; it drives me nuts too! One thing that’s helped me is practicing active listening — just repeating back what the guest says to confirm I understand them. My go-to is keeping a notepad handy to jot down key points so I can refer back to them, even amidst the chaos. Have you tried anything like that?
