Implementing New Check-In Software

We’re currently transitioning to a new check-in software system that promises to streamline our processes and enhance the guest experience. Has anyone else gone through a similar update — i’d love to hear feedback on what worked and any challenges you faced during the implementation.

I hear you on the guest experience front — when we switched to our new software last year, focusing on user training from day one made a huge difference. We had some hiccups during rollout, but having clear guides helped everyone adapt quicker — if you haven’t yet, consider setting up a few training sessions for staff; it really paid off for us.

It’s wild how a week can go by with the wrong password! I’ve found reminding clients to use their password manager can save them a lot of hassle.

One thing that helped us was involving the front desk team in testing the new software before going live. They had valuable feedback on usability that we hadn’t considered. Plus, it gave them a sense of ownership. Have you thought about involving your team in the process?

I totally get the struggle with transition periods! When we switched our system, we underestimated the importance of having a solid FAQ ready for both staff and guests… It really helped cut down on confusion, especially the first couple of weeks.

Switching tech can drive me nuts too… When we implemented our last system, we found it crucial to create quick reference guides for staff. Being prepared for the common bumps saved us a lot of headaches! @tylerB78, have you thought about doing something similar?
